THE BIBLE

We believe that the Bible consists of sixty-six books and is the Word of God.  The Bible is God’s complete and accurate Story about who He is, what He has done, what He is doing, and what He will do. The Bible is the final and complete authority in our lives.

GOD THE FATHER

There is one God, who exists as three persons living in perfect community — Father, Son, and Spirit. We believe that each of these Persons is God.

God created everything and sustains everything by His life.

We believe that God is sovereign in all authority over the entire universe.  We also believe that it is our responsibility to submit ourselves to the will of God.

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ was fully human and fully God. He lived a perfect life in place of our imperfect lives; died, as our substitute, the death we deserved because of our sin; and physically rose from the dead. He offers us full and eternal life through His own resurrection.  We believe that Jesus is the ONLY way to a relationship and acceptance with God.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, points us to Christ, and applies Christ’s work to our lives.

HUMANITY

We are created by God and in the image of God. But because of the sin and disobedience that began with Adam & Eve and continues with us, we have been separated from God. Yet He has pursued the human race at all costs with the intent of restoring this relationship and bringing full life once again.

SALVATION

We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.  We must choose to accept the forgiveness, salvation, and reconciliation God offers to us through Christ’s life, death, and resurrection. There is nothing we can do to deserve this life—it is all a gift of God, and our responsibility is simply to receive it.

THE CHURCH

The church is made up of imperfect people who have responded to God’s amazing grace.  The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to a world that is far from God.

ORDINANCES

We believe that every saved person who is physically able should give himself to water baptism by immersion in obedience to the Lord’s command.

We believe that every believer should regularly observe the Lord’s Supper in obedience to the Lord’s command as he is able.

MARRIAGE AND FAMILY

We believe that God ordained marriage between a man and a woman.

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE

We believe all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.
